I wish to register with you for the first time the son of my deceased friend —ion son of Sarapion, —es, of mother Adora, in the quarter of . . . , who in the current 8th year and 7th year is 12 years old (of the twelve-drachma gymnasial class?). ¹³ Therefore I submit the application requesting that he be enrolled in the category of his age group as is appropriate, and I swear the oath customary to Romans not to have lied.
