Introduction
Palimpsest ostracon. The scribe washed out the first text and wrote the receipt in the remaining blank interlinear spaces. The erased text can be read at some points. Above απο in l.1 απο. Below and in the left hand side of θυ in l.2 ιηλ; these letters point probably to the end of the name [Δαν]ιηλ. As the new receipt was issued in the name of Daniel, if Daniel of the first receipt is the same person, then it is plausible that he kept the ostracon with him and gave it to be re-used (Note of the editor)
