For I was passing time with my kinsman, Apollonios, and he asked me for certain records
which he had given me to watch over; but when I was unable to find these, he, becoming
angry with me, thought it fitting that Spinther, the phylakitês in Kerkesoucha, detain
me. And he (i.e., Spinther),

detention so that, if Apollonios should command it, he (i.e., the desmophylax) might
release me. But now he has led me off to the desmôtêrion in Krokodilopolis, claiming
that I am a wrongdoer; and though Apollonios thought it fitting that he release me,
