weiß, markiert auf dem rechten Schenkel SigmaKorrektur:BL I, S. 47, der Papyrus hat σγμμα und mit einem zusätzlichen KennzeichenKorrektur:παράσημον. Der Begriff meint in den Papyri sonst in der Regel das Bugbild eines Schiffes.
Da παράσημον hier Objekt zu κεχαραγμένον ist, handelt es sich strenggenommen wie bei
den Buchstabenmarkierungen und dem Brandzeichen (καυτήριον) um eine künstliche Kennzeichung.
Es ist aber auch nicht auszuschließen, daß eine natürliche Auffälligkeit gemeint ist. auf demselben Schenkel und am rechten Hals SigmaKorrektur:Vgl. BL I, S. 47, der Papyrus hat σγιμα und auf der Brust mit einem Brandzeichen –, 8 und ich habe von Dir erhalten den vereinbarten Kaufpreis in Höhe von sechhundertachtzig
Silberdrachmen, 680 Drachmen, und ich werde Dir gegenüber die Garantie in jeder Form
übernehmen.

first teeth, branded on its right haunch with a SigmaCorrection:BL I 47, written as σγμμα on the papyrus and a distinguishing markCorrection:The word παράσημον is usually used in the papyri to signify the ensign on the prow
of a ship. As it is dependent upon κεχαραγμένον an artificial marking such as the
letters and the burn mark on its chest seems more consistent, but it is possible that
a birthmark may be what is intended, cf. LSJ παράσημον A II b. on the same haunch and on the right of its neck a SigmaCorrection:Cf. BL I 47, written as σγιμα on the papyrus and on its chest a burn mark 8 and I have received from you the price agreed upon of six hundred and eighty silver
